Newmark Hires Four CRE Professionals, Bolstering Philadelphia Office/Industrial Brokerage and Research

Philadelphia, PA (Oct. 4, 2021) — Newmark Real Estate (Newmark) is pleased to announce that it has hired four professionals in its Wayne, Pennsylvania office–Managing Director Jim Wilson, Associate Directors Mitch Russell and Stephen J. Cook, II and Research Manager Jared Jacobs. All four professionals have varying subject area expertise across the office and industrial asset classes.

With 21 years of commercial real estate experience, Wilson specializes in landlord, tenant and buyer/seller representation in the Greater Philadelphia suburban market. Prior to joining Newmark, Jim was a Senior Vice President at Mahoney Realty Group, Inc., where he represented many notable local and national owners and tenants.
Russell represents and advises owners and occupiers in the Greater Philadelphia area, specializing in office, industrial and flex assets. Since 2018, Russell has completed over 30 transactions.
After 14 years as a commercial real estate appraiser, Cook has joined Newmark’s Eastern Pennsylvania Industrial team, focusing on the I-81/78 corridor where he will bolster owner and occupier services lines. Cook joined the team from Newmark’s Valuation & Advisory division, where he headed the regional industrial team. Since 2016, Cook has appraised over 100 million square feet of industrial assets within the I-81/78 Industrial Corridor and Greater Philadelphia industrial markets.
As Research Manager for Philadelphia, Jacobs will work closely with brokers across disciplines to address research requirements and formulate appropriate solutions, while overseeing the office’s research department. Jacobs comes to Newmark with over 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry; most recently, he was the Research Manager at Moody’s Analytics and the Associate Research Director for over a decade at Cushman and Wakefield, prior.
