Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) Honors David Adelman with the 2023 Legend Enterprise Award at the PACT Enterprise Awards

PHILADELPHIA, PA – May 1, 2023 – The Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) announces David Adelman, Philadelphia-based entrepreneur and active private investor, as the recipient of the prestigious 2023 PACT Legend Enterprise Award for lifetime achievement. The annual PACT Enterprise Awards celebrates the achievements of the region’s most accomplished companies, leaders, and entrepreneurs.

Adelman has made an indelible impact on the Greater Philadelphia region through his incomparable leadership, vision, and dedication to entrepreneurship which can be seen in all his ventures. As CEO of Philadelphia-based Campus Apartments, Adelman redefined the college living experience in University City and nationwide; today, he is widely recognized as a national leader in student housing development and management, with more than two billion dollars of assets under management across 18 states.

As the founder of Darco Capital, his family office investment vehicle, David has made over 60 venture capital and growth capital investments ranging across the beverage and spirits industry, climate technology, food, fintech, healthcare, hospitality, sports & media, and consumer-facing brands.

Adelman is also co-founder and vice chairman of FS Investments, a leading alternative asset manager with $34 billion of assets under management, and chairman of 76 Devcorp, responsible for conceptualizing and building a $1.3B privately funded urban arena in the heart of Philadelphia. He recently became a partner in Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment – which owns the 76ers, the NJ Devils, and the Prudential Center.
