For the 25th anniversary of the event, PACT condensed the conference to a single day: Sept. 26 at Xfinity Live!

Backstage Capital founder Arlan Hamilton and entrepreneurship author Alex Banayan will headline the 25th edition of the PACT Capital Conference, happening Sept. 26 at Xfinity Live!

The venture capital–themed conference has been retooled and condensed to a one-day format, peppered with content around fundraising and growing businesses, and will conclude with the fourth installment of the Lion’s Den pitch competition, which last year led to $1 million in investments for two local companies.

Head to the suburbs for this PACT event. It’s the latest in an uptick of fintech activity across the Philly region.

From high-priced acquisitions to niche accelerator programs, fintech activity in the region has been on the rise lately.

And tomorrow, amid that bubbling context, PACT is hosting a chat at Vanguard’s Malvern HQ to dissect some of the latest trends in the fintech space.

Joel Dickson, Vanguard’s global head of investment R&D will kick off the event, followed by a presentation from John Evans, senior manager for investment fintech strategies at Vanguard, on how the OG investment firm is using tech to manage its massive portfolio, which spans $4.2 trillion in assets.

Here’s who took home Enterprise Awards last night

What if everyone took the time to share one Philly success story?

During last night’s Enterprise Awards, that was the main prompt from Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) CEO Dean Miller, who emceed the 24th edition of the ceremony last night at the Pennsylvania Convention Center before a crowd of 900. Miller listed, in his opening speech, Philly tech successes like that of Sidecar (which just raised $11 million) and the up and coming LIA Diagnostics as signs of growth in the ecosystem.

Though this year the ceremony skewed a bit towards large, B2B tech companies in the suburbs, smaller companies from the Center City/University City corridor like ROAR for Good and Blackfynn also landed trophies.
