51maps Takes Home Phorum ‘Best in Show’ at Phorum 2017

Phorum 2017, the enterprise technology conference sponsored annually by Fairmount Partners and LiquidHub, was designed to help executives fully understand the technology they use and how that technology can be applied to transform the enterprise to achieve business goals. The speaker lineup consisted of a wide-range of renowned experts in digital transformation and cloud-computing, including Geoffrey A. Moore, Peter Coffee, Liz Herbert, Susan Ramonat, Ellen Rinaldi, Rob Schilling and Paul Boris to name a few.

Each of the panels, made up of a mix of large, well-established organizations and emerging companies, spent time examining a unique portion of the CAST (Connected, Aware, Smart, Trustworthy) framework, sharing specific examples to better help companies understand how to compete and differentiate in the new era of empowered digital end-users.

Geoffrey A. Moore provided attendees with an energy-filled and example-rich keynote speech with real-world experiences from his latest book, Zone to Win. But one of the most popular moments came at the end of the day when Nate Lentz of Osage Venture Partners and Liz Herbert, Forrester Research, took to the stage to announce the Phorum 2017 Best in Show winner.

Throughout the day, 11 startup companies from the Mid-Atlantic region had the opportunity to showcase their technology to the audience, made up of more than 400 investors, technologists, decision-makers and service providers. In the end, the judging panel recognized 51maps as the Best in Show honoree. Bill Conners, CEO of 51maps accepted the award on behalf of his company and expressed his gratitude and appreciation for all of the hard work that his team had put into building the business and offering.
